Sony’s Ek Duje Ke Vaaste went off air this year on October 7th. The show is said to have shut down due to the continuous illness of its leading lady Nikita Dutta.
However, fans were quite loud and clear about the fact that they wanted a proper closure to the show. The end announced by the channel was quite abrupt and the show wrapped up hastily.
Twitter is still at buzz with the hashtag #WeWantEDKVS2. To stop the closure of the show many fans claim to have even called the channel only to receive disappointing response.
In order to grab the channel’s attention again, the fans took another measure this time. They have printed a 20 feet flex with signature of fans belonging to different parts of the world and have sent the same to Sony Entertainment Television’s office.
Talking about the same, one of the fans said, “After the initial response from Sony TV to fans on Twitter claiming that the show had reached its logical end backfired they later came up with a response claiming they are going to consider a probable Season 2. However, the committed fan base of the show are not satisfied with the lame response and have intensified their effort. They recently sent out a 20 feet scroll printed with requests and token signatures of fans across the world.”
Fans do get emotionally attached to a show after investing their time on it. We sincerely hope that the EDKV fans’ requests are considered by the channel and they indeed end up getting a season 2 of the show.
