Oh My God! Rishabh’s Reborn

After years of exile, Rishabh Kundra has returned. RK, as he is not so fondly known has finally accepted his love for his long lost friend, his Bappa. Last week we witnessed Madhu and RK’s confrontation on bringing Ganpati into RK’s home. Now an athesist, RK refused to acknowledge the presence of a “stone” in his house. Claiming that the only God that lives in his house is he himself, RK decides to make Madhu’s life hell. At first, he refuses to partake in any activities relating to the festival. The situation worsens to the extent that he cancels all his shoots to avoid walking past the idol. He furthers Madhu’s frustration when he strips the house of electricity, leaving Madhu to cook Kher and prepare the aarti without any gas or light. To RK’s dismay, he discovers that Madhu had already seen him pray to the idol, releasing his anger and frustration for his father’s death.

She had also found the receipt to the Sheikh Kabab that RK had ordered from the restaurant. The receipt clearly stated that the Kababs RK had offered to idol were clearly vegetarian, thus proving his love and respect for the religion. It seems that RK has finally succumb to his religious beliefs. On Monday and Tuesday, we will see a Ganpati special on Madhubala where promos suggest Rishabh will go to a grand aarti hosted by none other than Madhubala’s old chawl. So far, we can already expect Malik to not take this idea very well, but that is the least of RK’s, or should I say Rishabh’s concern. A reborn Rishabh may already have to face a near death experience. As we all know, some one has been calling his manager, Bittu Ji, threatening in to pay a large some in return for RK’s life. The news does not seem to bother RK but heavily concerns Bittu Ji. He repeatedly asks RK to surrender to their will but RK brushes it off. Alas, RK is shot! This emergence of this track opens up an array of possibilities for future tracks. As we all know, Malik is already enraged that RK used his illness to make Madhu his wedded slave. Being that the function is taking place in the chawl, RK and others (Deepali) could claim that Malik and his family had something to with the incident, resulting in Madhu and RK’s separation. Also, Deepali could look at this as an excuse to win back RK’s love. On a happier note, Madhu’s growing concern for RK may surface as a result of the incident, causing her to realize her love for him and vice versa. The possibilities are endless.
