A sad announcement for the ardent viewers and fans of Sony’s Bade Bhaiya Ki Dulhaniya and Ek Duje Ke Vaaste fans, the shows are all set to go off air on 7th October .

Ek Duje Ke Vaaste and Bade Bhaiya which started in February and July respectively, unfortunately are going to be wrapped up in another 2 weeks time. They were one among the most popular shows on Indian TV for the cyber audience.

Bade Bhaiya was loved for its simple yet beautiful execution and cinematography, more so all actors and the characters in the show were so relatable and real. On the other hand, Ek Duje ke Vaaste was loved for the leads’ beautiful on screen chemistry. All of them in a short time made a space for themselves in their audience’s heart.

The shows did well for the internet audience, however, couldn’t generate the ratings it should have. It is said that either of show is supposed to make way for Jennifer Winget and Kushal Tandon starrer Beyhadh whose launch has been delayed by a month.

Just when the viewers were getting excited for their Abhishek – Meera’s and Shravan –Suman’s wedding and post marriage journey on the shows, things have been brought to an abrupt stop to the disappointment of all the fans and the respective teams as well.

For Ek Duje Ke Vaaste more than the falling ratings, the lead actor playing Suman a.k.a Nikita Dutta’s continuous ill health is being cited as the reason for the show’s abrupt ending. However, a confirmation of the same is being awaited.

The leads of the show Bade Bhaiya Ki Dulhaniya a.k.a Priyanshu Jora and Namita Dubey made it a point to be the first to confirm the news and the end date to their ardent fans through this video posted by Priyanshu on his Instagram account.

Here have a look at the video which is ought to make you all fall for these two actors who made us love and adore them onscreen as Abhishek and Meera and now even more off screen.

We wish the team of both the shows all the best for their future endeavors and projects. Hope to see them soon in some other great projects. Wish everyone great health as well!

  1. Typical response to any problems that arise in Desi shows. The leads are ill, it’s not like they did it on purpose. The execs think there is no other option besides cancellation. They could just put the show on hold like American shows come back after Diwali, do a few more episodes leave it on a cliff hanger then come back after the leads have had a chance to recover and get rested. It’s a great way to treat the fans and the actors. But too bad no one thinks like that who run the Desi shows. Another way to disappoint loyal fans who stick through crap storylines and what not.
