Having watched the first episode of Star Plus’ new show Dahleez produced by Fortune Productions, one has to admit that if this show is handled well, then it surely has a lot of potential to become a sure shot winner.
Ever since the promo of the show hit the TV screen, the show became the talk of the town.
The show focuses on the love story of Aadarsh and Swadheenta along with the backdrop of a lot of politics, drama, thrill and truth. Here what we have to say on the first episode of Dahleez ;
Harshad Arora As Aadarsh Sinha –
After having played the character of Zain Abdullah in Beintehaa, Harshad Arora is back as Aadarsh Sinha and going by the looks of Dahleez, must say he is rocking as Aadarsh, who is smart, dignified, intelligent, witty, and ambitious by nature and is also a successful IAS Officer. The episode starts with none other than Aadarsh who has come for his friend’s wedding and like any other person he is looking for a life partner who is more of a soul mate.
The Filmy Encounter
Well, it was more of a filmy encounter with a guy meeting a girl on his friend’s wedding and falling for her. It’s ‘love at first sight’ for Aadarsh who falls head over heels for our gorgeous lady Swadheenta Ramakrishnan (Tridha Choudhury) and both get into a sweet fight and challenge each other for a dance competition of girls v/s boys and whoever looses will have to leave the sangeet without having dinner. It was quite endearing to see Harshad performing on the very first episode of the show and it seems he was given calculated steps by the choreographer this time to make him look good while dancing.
Not only this, the show by the end of the episode also focused on Aadarsh as an IAS officer, who with his smartness and intelligence saves his lady love from the goons. It was not a fight but more of his smartness which gives us an idea that he believes in handling the situations with ease and cleverness.
Tridha Choudhury As Swadheenta Ramakrishnan
Tridha Choudhury earlier appeared in Bengali films and made her debut to small screen as Swadheenta Ramakrishnan in Dahleez. So far she is looking good in her character. Her first appearance surely gave us an idea that how strong she is as a woman. She is not only good looking but smart and intelligent, like a beauty with brain. The first episode was dedicated at establishing the various characters and the story and we are still to explore her character as a lawyer who will fight against injustice.
Meghna Malik As Suhasini Sinha
A special mention to Meghna Malik as Suhasini Sinha who is looking every bit of a dignified and modern lady, stylish by looks and a powerful lawyer who stands for her beliefs and values. She has three sons; two of them are married and the third being Aadarsh whom she loves immensely and is looking for a well mannered and educated girl for him. The first look gave us an idea that she has a complete control over her family. Respect and reputations holds utmost importance to her. It would be quite interesting to watch the show once Swadheenta and Aadarsh’s mom come in contact. Both the ladies being in the same profession and mindset, their face off will give a major twist to the story.
The Monologue Of Aadarsh
Lastly, another major praiseworthy part of the first episode has been the narrative. Harshad’s voiceover or Aadarsh’s monologue would engage the viewer more to the show or lets just say, it will give you a chance of knowing Swadheenta through his eyes and point of view. We are sure the creatives have kept her name as ‘SWADHEENTA’ with some objective in mind which might be later revealed in the show. Her name means ‘Freedom’ and as per Aadarsh, she has come to ‘free’ him. From what? Well, that’s what we are eager to find out as well.
Our Take – Story to hai boss! Aur Pyaar? Waqt lagega lekin hoga zaroor!
The first episode ends right in front of Delhi’s India Gate where Aadarsh watches Swadheenta going away from him after she is saved from a few goons. But as her face fades away with distance, it’s the monologue of Aadarsh that stays back with you. It says, “Chehre hai pe mirchi hai, phir bhi dil mein laddoo? Story to hai boss! Aur Pyaar? Waqt lagega lekin hoga zaroor…I BET!” – And we too think the same. Story to hai, it’s just a matter of time to unfold.
Overall the episode was quite impressive and we are looking forward to the love story of Swadheenta and Aadarsh.
Both are looking good in their respective roles and we are sure that their chemistry is going to be talked about.
