Elisabeth Hasselbeck – From The View to New

“The View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be replacing the current co-host Gretchen Carlson on Fox News Channel in September as co-host on the top-rated morning show “Fox & Friends.” beginning in September. Fox News CEO Roger Alies made this news public on Tuesday, July 9th when he claimed, “Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View.”

Hasselbeck has been a part of the Emmy Award winning show – “The View” since the year 2003. She is best known for being a finalist on the popular show Survivor in the year 2001. On ABC’s The View, she is known for her blunt and straight forward attitude which sets her apart from the rest of her co-hosts. Her strong beliefs in conservatism often clashed with her much liberal colleagues but this did not stop her from being outspoken. Her colleagues appreciated her opinions which allowed for a healthy discussion on and off sets. Throughout her career at ABC, she contributed to the nation as the speaker at the Republican National Convention in both the 2004 and 2007 elections. During that time she has interviewed President Obama and former Presidents Clinton and Bush.

Hasselbeck’s most noted debate on “The View” took place in August of 2006, where she debated the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) decision to sell “the morning after pill” as an easily accessible over the counter drug. She is an active member of the fight against breast cancer and the pro life campaign. We wish Hasselbeck all the best in her newest venture.
