First Look – Akshay Kumar’s Boss!



The first look of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie Boss has been revealed. This look has been tweeted by the actor himself on the popular micro-blogging website. He also mentions that “Returning to my home turf, solid, never seen before ACTION after #RowdyRathore, #likeaboss with #BOSS in theatres on October 18, 2013!

“Boss” is remake of remake of the South hit Pokkiri Raja slated to be released on October 2013. The only other big release slated for October launch is Ragini MMS 2, which will be releasing on October 11. In the recent past there has been a trend of remaking south movies such as Singham, Ghajni, Bodygaurd etc. and these have fared well on the Box office as well. Coming back to Boss, in this movie Akshay will be seen as a benevolent gangster. The actor is also trained martial arts expert and has always been known for his action roles. He had tasted huge success in the Khiladi series of movies such as Khiladi, International Khiladi, Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi etc. Even his last release was titled Khiladi 786. The other notable hits of Akhsay career include Namaste London, Dil To Pagal Hai, Rowdy Ratore and Hera Pheri.

In the movie Boss, Akshay is paired opposite Aditi Rao Hydari (of ‘Murder 3’ and ‘London Paris New York’ fame). Shiv Pandit, Mithun Chakraborty, Danny Denzongpa, Johny Lever, Parikshit Sahani and Ronit Roy will also be seen in pivotal roles. The movie is being produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Cape of Good Films and Ashwin Varde Productions. It has been directed by Anthony D’Souza and shot primarily in India only.
