‘KTLK comes to an end! It will be sorely missed’- Sneha Rajani

Indian Television sees the arrival of new shows every other week and at the same time the television also sees the current running shows ending. Yesterday the 28th of March 2013 saw the closure of yet another daily soap. Sony Entertainment Television’s popular drama, showcasing the love-story between two people who have 18 year age gap between the two of them. Kuch Tho Log Kahenge was the love story of Dr. Ashutosh Mathur and Nidhi Verma who joins as an intern at the Kotnis hospital where Ashutosh is her senior. As different as chalk and cheese , Ashutosh and Nidhi fall in love with each other overcoming the barrier of their age gap, society norms and their different thinking.

Ashutosh was played by actor Mohnish Bahl who later quit the show on the ground of health reasons and actor Sharad Kelkar filled the character of Ashutosh’s shoes. Mohnish Bahl was a apart of the show till 28th February 2012, later Sharad Kelkar replaced him. Nidhi was played by Kritika Kamra. The show is a adaptation of the Pakistani classic television drama ‘Dhoop Kinare’. The show was created by Rajan Shahi’s Director Kut’s Productions.

When a particular show ends it leaves the fan-base of the show wanting more. Kuch Tho Log Kahenge which began on October 3rd 2011 ended yesterday (28th March 2013) culminating and drawing an end to its almost nineteen months successful run. The show has had its share of ups and downs and the show which start at the 8:00 PM time slot on Sony Entertainment Television was shifted to a 11:00 PM time slot. The show in both its time slots entertained the audiences. Alok Nath, Karan Wahi, Vishal Malhotra, Anju Mahendru, Ishita Sharma, Nandita Puri, Rukhsar Rehman, Kavita Vaid, Vijay Kashyap, Dakssh Ajit Singh, Puneet Tejwani, Nitesh Pandey were some of the prominent actors who were a part of the show either initially or later as the story went. The show ended on a happy note with a open-ended message that there might be a season 2 for the show.

As it is curtains down for Kuch Tho Log Kahenge; the fans of the show are requesting for a season 2 or either a repeat telecast of their favorite show. Sneha Rajani Senior Executive, Vice President & Business Head – SET tweeted saying the following –

We at Fuze are sure that Kuch Tho Log Kahenge will surely be missed and hope that the channel and the show comes back with a season 2 for the sake of the show’s fan-following. We would also like to wish the entire team of Kuch Tho Log Kahenge all the very best for their future endeavors.
