The 4th of October 2013 saw the Indian adaptation of ’24’ airing for the first time on the television screens. Produced by Anil Kapoor Films, the show has been in the news for quite a while now. The viewers have been eagerly waiting for the show and thus ending the wait, the show commenced yesterday.
As the show began, slowly yet steadily it caught up pace. Each episode is going to showcase a precious hour and Jai Singh Rathod who is the Anti-Terrorist Unit officer only has 24 hours to save the dynamic politician Aditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam) who is going to swear-in as the next Prime Minister, the very next day. From the first episode’s first scene, it was clear that the show is here to stay and create an impact in the minds of the audiences. It is Jai Singh Rathod’s race against time to save Aditya Singhania. Interesting right? We think so too.
24 is a show which would be liked by one and all and it will also churn the audiences’ mind and brain as every minute, every second in the show is vital and every move will have the viewers thinking and anticipating what will follow next.
Hands down we can surely give the show a thumbs-up. From the time the show started the next move was anticipated, but yet the nail-biting thriller 24, every minute offered something different like the phrase ‘Expect the Unexpected’ and maintained the element of surprise from start to the end. Special mention to actors Anil Kapoor, Anita Raj, Mandira Bedi, Anupam Kher, Tisca Chopra and Neil Bhoopalam for their perfect portrayal of characters in the very first episode.
The episode gave the audience the feel of seeing a suspense film, filled with mystery. After seeing the first episode, as an audience one cannot help but express regret that this particular show would only air for two days a week.
24 has indeed begun with a solid bang. If you have seen the first episode, do let us know your views in the comment section.
Kudos to the entire team of 24 for putting together a great show, the show surely has managed to live up-to the expectations of the viewers.
