Star Plus’ Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 is due to be launched on September 25th at 8 pm. The show that is promoted widely by inaugurating ‘love statues’ and also by introducing the characters through Shah Rukh Khan in a promo, has been show widely in the city of Kolkata.

The team of Kasautii Zindagii Kay had a blast while shooting at Kolkata and even the first press conference of the show was held in the same city.

The producer of the show, Ekta Kapoor along with lead actors Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes went to seek blessings at Kalighat temple too.

But both the actors directly or indirectly, had a Kolkata connection much before Kasautii happened.

Parth Samthaan happens to have come to Kolkata more than probably any other television actor in recent times for various events. Each of these events were a massive hit among the young gen college going crowd. His popularity and craze among the teenage crowd of Kolkata has been massive.

He had come to the city almost thrice or more in a year after his show Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan went off air. In short, young Kolkata loves Parth Samthaan.

Erica Fernandes’ connection to Kolkata is quite indirect. She played a Bengali nutritionist based in Delhi in her last show Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi.

Her fans and the viewers of Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi would be aware of the fact that she often had some catchy Bengali terms and words in the dialogues in the show. As Dr. Sonakshi Bose, Erica was loved and adored.

This time she might be playing a Non-Bengali girl from Kolkata, but the touch of Bengal stays with her new character in Kasautii too.

Isn’t it a great fact that both the actors somehow have an indirect connection to Bengal? We hope the Bengalis love to watch Kasautii Zindagii Kay season 2 too as much as they loved Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi or the first season of Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
