In the current scenario are real life stories on TV watched more by viewers?
Nowadays it has become a common feature for real stories to be made into soaps or converted into fictions. Shows are created; episodes are made based entirely on a real story or on the lines inspired by a real story.
Whether it is Yeh Hai Aashiqui on Bindaas or Gumraah on Channel V, Ishq Kills on Star Plus or Emotional Atyachaar on Bindaas all the stories are either real or they are inspired from real life stories.
Yeh Hai Aashiqui : This show on Bindaas presents to the viewers some real good, sweet love stories. At the end of each story, people who have experienced or have undergone similar incidents talk about it. Yeh Hai Aashiqui presents its stories in the simplest form and because of the simplicity the story becomes believable. It surely has a knack to connect with the audience. The show is produced by Lost Boy Productions and BBC Worldwide Production and is one of the finest television series based on real life love stories.
Gumraah – The next show we are talking about is Gumraah on Channel V. The tagline of the show says ‘End Of Innocence’. Gumraah presents stories of the youth and teenage crimes that occur around us. The show is hosted by Karan Kundra. While Karan narrates the stories of misguided youth, it is enacted on-screen by different actors. Mostly Gumrah showcases the stories of either misguided youth or love gone wrong. The show is produced by Balaji Telefimns and Lost Boy Productions.
Confessions Of An Indian Teenager – The next show on our list is Confessions Of An Indian Teenager. This show is all about confessions and stories of Indian teenagers and young minds. Their falling in love, insecurity orgoing towards the wrong path, real stories are enacted on the screen giving the viewer an idea of what goes on inside the head of teenager or rather how they think. It is as though, seeing this one can learn when to correct themselves. Young minds of teenagers are easily influenced and Confessions Of An Indian Teenager showcases real stories depicting what goes wrong and why.
Emotional Atyachaar – Emotional Atyachaar on Bindaas as the name suggests is about the Atyachaar that happens in the name of love and marriage. The show’s format is such that the host Pravesh Rana sits with the person who has become a victim of ‘Atyachaar’ and while the host and guests keep talking, the scenes are pictured accordingly and enacted by actors on-screen. Emotional Atyachaar reveals the true face of cheaters, people who cheat in love or in marriage.
MTV Webbed – MTV Webbed is another show which gives the viewers real stories related to cyber crimes. As the name suggests, the medium of the crime here is Internet. MTV Webbed aims at creating cyber crime awareness. The simple funda as the tagline says is ‘Think Before You Click’ or else even you might become a victim of any atrocious, hurtful cyber crime. The Internet is a medium which when used in the right way is a boon but when the same interface is misused it becomes a bane for the victim. Real cyber crime related stories are enacted by actors in order to let the viewers know the kind of crimes happening in and around a person on the Internet.
There are other shows too like Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India which enact real crime stories. Even these shows have a high amount of viewership. These shows tell us that crime can happen anytime, anywhere just that one has to be aware of the dastak of the crime and always be savdhaan/alert for the happenings in and around you. Crime Patrol is hosted by Anup Soni while Savdhaan India is hosted by Sushant Singh.
On the same lines, Star Plus is also going to offer a new show titled as ‘Ishq Kills‘. As the name suggests it is about the crimes in Ishq/love. The show is also going to be on the lines of real love stories.
