Sony TV’s GTVM Falls

Sony TV has been under immense pressure in recent times. With the reigns of the GRP world primarily in the hands of Star Plus and Zee TV, the once chart topping channel Sony has been experiencing much of a backlash.

In attempts to revive the channel, Sony recently launched several new shows including Itti Si Khushi and Humsafars but alas, this too did not stop the ill fate of the channel from growing.

Today, the channel stands at its lowest GTVM ratings in the last three years. This week the channel barely managed to accumulate a GTVM rating of 190. That is 55 less than last week’s rating of 245.

The strongest shows on the channel this week are Maharana Pratap with a TVM of 2.5, CID with 3.1 and Kaun Banega Crorepati at 2.6. Sony’s recently launched shows Itti Si Khushi, Hum Hai Na or Humsafars are not earning enough numbers on the TRP chart. These shows are currently competing with the high ratings of Ye Hai Mohabbatein (Star Plus), Kumkum Bhagya (Zee TV), Udaan (Colors TV), Jodha Akbar (Zee TV) and Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus).
