Depression or stress doesn’t only exist in the film industry. It is prevalent in the normal society and probably all of us know a depressive person within our circle.
Often we have the tendency of dismissing them by saying ‘Arre usko chod woh depressive aadmi hai’. This attitude of ‘usko chod’ becomes more devastating for that person. And he is unable to share the load of his mind that often becomes too dark and too complicated to handle. Life becomes suffocating for them.
Supposedly, you are locked in a room with no oxygen. You will try to get out of it instantly. For a severely depressive human being, life becomes the reason of that suffocation and they take destructive steps to get rid of it to ease their pain. To breathe freely.
This video shows us how piling up reasons of sadness can make it unbearable for a person to take it anymore. Weight of the glass in the video is similar to the weight of distress. If you are distressed for some time, your mind will bear it and overcome it. If it grabs you for longer, your mind will take control of you. If you do not drop it at the right time, the unbearable pain will end up killing you.
Depression and stress are like mental cancer, it requires immense strength and willpower with loads of help and emotional support along with medication to come out of it.
In our country the concept of depression is very alien to the masses. The question ‘why’ crops up very easily on people’s mind. Maybe this video will help in understanding that ‘why’.
