6) Zoya’s chat with Mr. and Mrs. Siddiqui:
Wednesday’s episode did put one rationale forward about why Zoya is deciding to marry Arshad.
It makes somewhat sense for a person to give in to parental pressure about marriage in our country, because many people do that, and she is trying to please her Abbu with her decision. It also makes sense that when someone’s faith gets shattered in their ability to read people, then people do end up making hasty fear based decisions, like Zoya did.
Her dialogues also pointed a bit towards the fact that having been hurt in love once by Yash, we feel she doesn’t trust Adi’s love. That’s why she is trying to shield her heart from Adi’s confession.
But despite some understandable motivations of Zoya, currently the way the story has progressed the reasoning behind Zoya’s loss of faith in Adi is the major fatal flaw in the reasoning behind her changed feelings.
Without listening to the complete story she has jumped to conclusions and decided that Adi is guilty of harming Arshad, when there’s no evidence except Arshad’s words for that. And because Adi indirectly harmed Arshad, her faith in him being shattered seems a bit far-fetched.
