Vikram Bhatt’s web series ‘Twisted’ garnered some huge viewership and along with it surfaced certain new faces that attracted the viewers and stole the limelight while it lasted.
One such fine actor who caught the major attention was none other than the handsome lad Rrahul, who fitted the bill to essay the role of investigating officer, Aryan Mathur in the series and now once again is set to enthrall the audience in Twisted Season 2, the shoot for which is about to begin next month.
Hailing from the mesmerizing town of Srinagar and having completed his schooling from Dehradun, the talented young man had a lot of appreciation coming his way after his projects with the Bhatt camp.
Fuze caught up with him in a quick chat where he revealed a lot about his career, co – actors and future projects. Read below for the exclusive chat –
Q. How did you set your foot in the acting industry?
I have persuaded M.SC in Engineering and was working in an MNC just like any other young lad but the undying passion to pursue something creative was always there.
Having got in touch with one of my friends associated with theatre group, I went on to perform there for a while and there was no looking back as one thing led to another and I ended up signing for a role in Bhatt camp.
Q. How did Twisted happen to you?
I had already essayed the role of a lawyer in Vikram Bhatt’s first web series ‘Maya’, following which our director , Mr. Anupam Saroj, briefed me about my role in Twisted which was again that of a lawyer.
It was only afterwards that I was chosen to portray an investigating officer instead, a role which I was a bit apprehensive about going for in the beginning.
Q. How was your experience working with an ace director like Vikram Bhatt and renowned actors like Nia Sharma and Namit Khanna ?
Vikram Bhatt – The man is class apart. It’s about how you wish to perceive him. When he is into acting, he is entirely into the character and when directing, he is deeply involved with the same.
Both ways, he is just perfect and admirable at the task he does and I feel glad to have gotten this opportunity to learn from him.
Namit Khanna – Well, Namit is a very composed, serious and focused sort of a person. He used to crack a joke or two once in a while but otherwise his prime commitment was always towards work which is very appreciable.
Nia Sharma – Nia at first came across as very arrogant to me when she commented on how I was looking familiar to ‘sindbad’, when I first saw her during the costume trials. But as soon as we began talking and interacting, she was as quirky and funny as me and it was a pleasure working with a wonderful human being like her.
Q. Tell us something about the kind of roles you’d prefer to play if given a chance.
I have no inhibitions as such about a certain specific character. I am open to whatever comes my way. For me, the excitement that comes along with performing an unexpected task is what keeps me intrigued.
Q. Are there any limitations or preferences while considering to work either on small screen or Bollywood?
I’m yet to explore my potential to the maximum and be it television, digital world or Bollywood, I’ll prefer to venture where my creative satisfaction lies, so no boundaries set.
Q. The news of second season of Twisted is already doing the rounds. Tell us something about your role and the reason it’s distinct from the previous series.
About my role, it’s again that of an investigating officer but this time as a male lead itself. The reason why viewers should root for it is because of its entirely variable plot than the first one.
Can’t divulge on the details much but Twisted 2 is definitely going to be more intriguing, sexier and bolder this time!
Well, we wish for this talented lad to go places and score much more appreciation and recognition in his upcoming endeavors. Wishing him all the luck for his upcoming projects!
