However, the LIVE chat that took place on June 29th, didn’t have mention of the actors from 2 films from the list of 5. The 2 movies are Vidyut Jammwal‘s Khuda Haafiz and Kunal Kemmu‘s Lootcase.

Looks like Disney+ Hotstar completely ignored the 2 films and only opted to start off the promotions with the big star films.

Vidyut Jammwal on the issue has tweeted saying “A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It’s a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES”.

Social media is buzzing with the hot topic of favoritism that exists within Bollywood and media.

The media has been blamed for publishing blind items, maligning the image of actors, scandalous reports and ignoring real talents.

It is being blamed how budding actors are not given enough importance and focus.

Disney+ Hotstar‘s this step simply makes it more apparent about how the system and the mindset requires a change.

Kunal Kohli, Genelia Deshmukh and Iqbal Khan also came forward in support of Vidyut. They tweeted –

Let’s just hope, audience gives everyone their deserved dues after the films are released on the OTT platform.
