Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the most successful and the longest running daily soap of India, is soon going to start off a new phase in its journey.

The show so far, in it’s journey of 10 years has showcased the story of two generations – Naitik and Akshara followed by Kartik and Naira.

While both love stories belonging to two different genres worked very well with the audience, it seems the Kartik- Naira (KaIra) saga is soon to end paving way for a new generation again to take over the show.

Karan Mehra and Hina Khan as Naitik and Akshara were the first leads of the show. They worked together for almost 8 years after whick Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi suucessfully took over the show. Amazing writing, realistic feel and grounded storyline made it possible for Yeh ishta Kya Kehlata Hai survive whatever turmoils came in its way in the long run of 10 years.

But now producer Rajan Shahi has announced the ‘biggest leap’ in the show on his Instagram account. The viewers can expect this leap to substantiate in February 2020.

However, this has created a major uproar among fans on social media. Now this uproar is surely not unexpected. Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi’s on screen jodi of KaIra has been adored, loved and admired by fans since almost 3 years now. And at the moment, as a KaIra separation track is being played out, they are already miffed with the makers. This announcement hence added up to the furor of the fans.

Speculations are rife whether Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi still will be a part of the show. While, nothing is confirmed yet, we can say that if a generation is taking over the show, KaIra will probably not be there. Instead their love story will stay as an inspiration for the coming generation just as it had happened when Naitik and Akshara’s story had ended.

While it will be sometime until every aspect of the leap is confirmed, we can definitely say that KaIra will remain to be one of the most special love stories on Indian television. The very fact that it had both the elements of a fairytale and reality made it exceptionally popular among both traditional and young viewers.
