Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke : Here’s Why Shaheer Sheikh And Rhea Sharma’s Show Has Caused The Fans To Demand A Logical Ending

Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke

It’s no surprise for anyone now to see the unwavering dedication of the fans of the Star Plus show Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, to demand an extension for their favorite daily soap by the channel.

With more than a week gone by and the fans still trending and hyping the show, the producer and the channel have refused to speak till now.

The fans of Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma starrer aren’t out their demanding a forever extension for the show but a little more time span onscreen so that the story can have a decent and logical ending which is very much lacking in it right now.

Here are the reasons why Abir and Mishti’s story needs to end with the vibe that it started with –

1. Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke began with a very unconventional topic that one could hardly imagine to be seen or debated about it an Indian daily soap. Putting a light on marital courtship, an idea that might seem to be in already among the urban youth yet one may encounter even many families opposing that idea since it’s hard to go against the popular belief and customs.

The initial 100 episodes of the show were gold in the terms of storyline and the way it all was executed with the episodes being a perfect blend of entertainment, emotions and drama in play. This quality vanished long ago but when a show is near it’s closure, the fans and audiences deserve some quality episodes. Fans requests for the show to retain its USP of gracefully portraying a social issue and making it a learning experience for the audience is pretty much valid for the same reason.

The show lately has only retained the tag of coming up with a social issue as delicate as PTSD or surrogacy but to do justice to the track and to make sure that correct message reaches the audiences through the story, is another task that sadly is lacking via the makers.

For an audience that’s involved emotionally with the characters, delivering only heavy weightage dialogues and not acting upon them disconnects the viewers too quickly.

2. It pinches to say that a quality show like Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke with tremendous actors like Shaheer Sheikh, Rhea Sharma, Ritvik Arora, Avinash Mishra, Kaveri Priyam and many other talented senior actors fell prey to quite an inconsistent writing after the Mishbir break up phase itself.

With the characters shuffling in their own space, stretching of certain tracks and brushing up the ending led started dwindling its charm yet the amazing chemistry of the leads and their love story on the other end kept the viewers hooked. Post lockdown, it was a real challenge for the makers to not only provide an entertaining content but to also add that factor to the show that could cater to the viewers’ psychological aspect at a crucial time when they would want to watch something positive and soothing onscreen.

The show offered only intense tracks and too much negativity in the name of story which sadly failed to grab the audiences attention like that before. With such a vibrant cast ensemble, there’s still a lot of scope of many angles to Mishbir story that can be explored. Hence the fans are desperately craving for some positivity, optimism and happy episodes before the story comes to an end so that at least the show can be remembered for its zeal and the vibe that it harboured.

3. In the times when shows are randomly getting axed without even prior notices, for a show which already is writing its climax, the writing could have been better. Certain episodes seem completely rushed without focus on the emotional aspects that should be shown with a topic as crucial as surrogacy in focus. While there are few episodes which seem to carry the same monotonous scenes and the characters loosing their essence to an extent that fans would feel like pulling their hairs and the general audience might just switch to another channel with a click of a button.
Mind you, the slot change for the show. Already proved to be the greatest setback.

4. Last but not the least, from the veteran actors like Lata Sabarwal and Sanjeev Seth to the lead pairs Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma and even the remaining cast of the show, all fan want is a decent exit from the small screen.

A proper closure to the story that would satiate the audience and would make them remember the show with a smile and contentment is all that the fans of the show are demanding for.

For the show to not run for an infinite period but for it to have a little extension so that it can retain its grace and be the sunshine that it used to be for its fans is what we can see being asked through the daily trends on social media.

The production house and the channel as well ,have been mum about the ongoing trends and fans disappointment. For now, the show is supposed to air it’s last on 17th October 2020.

  1. Vaishali you wrote a very good piece on YRHPK and I can’t agree with you more about the story line dwindling after Vatsal’s exit. I had similar views like yourself and continuously badgering Shaheer’s fan page saying that he is getting wasted in this awful storyline and after lock down I gave up watching becuz it just got worse with each episode. I hated The social aspect of Abir hating his mom and doubting all her actions. This certainly wouldn’t educate the young generation to respect their parents. We know that SS has very close family ties and this was ruining his screen persona.
Also no honeymoon for Mishbir but planting surrogacy in the minds of audience and then the Misti murder angle and Kuhu’s jealousy just killed a beautiful show. Sorry Mr Rajan your show became distasteful and just too boring.
I am a die hard fan of Shaheer and happy this show ended and he can take his versatility to much higher levels and be number 1. Thank you!!

    • So true!! Even I started watching YRHPK for Shaheer. You won’t believe if I say I hadn’t watched any daily soaps till I happened to watch KRPKAB by chance while browsing the TV. Since then I went back to watch Navya, watched his Salim Anarkali and now this. The makers have spoilt Shaheer’s versatility. Their loss!!
And the track which is going on now is pathetic!! I fail to understand what are they trying to convey!! If your mom makes mistakes never should you forgive her till she falls at your feet and asks for an apology but if your so called BRO, who is no way related to you by blood, does a mistake and hides it she can be forgiven immediately!! Utter nonsense!! Why can’t the makers show the evil being punished, for a longer time when they can show the Good suffering for episodes running into months!! Why this surrogacy track?? Why couldn’t they show Mishti pregnant and delivering a baby!! If Mishti falls her internal organs are damaged but when Kuhu jumps from top and falls not a scratch and the baby is perfect in her tummy!! Thank God the show is ending and the leads would definitely get a better show to do… Wishing them the very best!! The show focussed so much on Kuhu which wasn’t fair at all! Well here I can’t say all good things come to an end but a bad storyline coming to an end.. 🙏🙏😀😀
