Let’s say it in a very practical manner – Despite Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai being one of the most updated and modern shows on Indian television that evolved itself with time and found acceptance within all age group of viewers due to its ingenious mixture of traditional and contemporary ideas, people who don’t watch the show still remain under the impression that it’s for the oldies of the family only. But that is not the case.
‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke‘ – The spin off of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai somehow probably gave the same impression to some viewers, but the recent promo may make them hold their thoughts and think again.
Hitting the hot iron by picking a topic like ‘chat mangni pat biha‘ in the show, the promo gives a very modern outlook to the entire scenario of ‘Jhatpat Shaadi’.
The confusion while selecting a groom in an arrange marriage is always baffling and at times very annoying to the would be bride and that is shown quite clearly in the promo.
However, what gives it a new take is the rap that Shaheer Sheikh is made to do in the trailer, tapping the logical nerves of Mishti (Rhea Sharma) and making the viewers tap their foot too with the beat.
What We Loved In The Promo –
1. Shaheer Sheikh is absolutely impressive doing the rap in the promo. His expressions and body language would attract the viewers. After watching him as the decent and sophisticated Dev Dixit in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi followed by the royal and romantic Salim in Dastaan-E-Mohabbat, this happy go lucky avatar is surely a welcome change. Or may be because we don’t see television actors lip syncing to a rap everyday, this across as quite a different approach from the regular stuff.
2. Rhea Sharma as the nerdy, confused and annoyed Mishti comes up with a new avatar as compared with her Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji look.
3. The wordings of the rap is fun and easy. They stay with you even after the promo ends. At least, the new generation viewers can relate to it especially the guys and girls who are forced to sit for a meeting or two and asked to choose their life partner on the basis of that one or two meetings.

This promo has left us excited. In rap style – We think you can give the show a try, it might not be dished out as regular french fry, may be it will satisfy without making you regret or cry!
Have a great day ahead and remember – Don’t ‘hit the shaadi beat’ unless you are sure of it!
